The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping has congratulated Salome Zurabishvili on election as President of Georgia.

The impetus for the development of Chinese-Georgian relations is maintained and cooperation in various fields becomes stronger. I attach great importance to the development of Chinese-Georgian relations, and I would like to lift China-Georgia friendly cooperation to a new level with our joint efforts, so as to bring more benefits to the two countries”, the letter of congratulations reads.
