Draft amendments to Civil Service law to be withdrawn from Parliament

The parliamentary majority will withdraw the draft law of the amendments to the current law on "Civil Service" from Parliament, - the decision has already been made by the ruling team.

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairperson of the "Georgian Dream" fraction, the ruling team lawmakers made the decision after a thorough discussion.

“While very serious and artificial stirring was underway outside the Parliament over the issue, the team was conducting a thorough discussion. We decided not to discuss the draft law and to withdraw it,” MP Mazurka Mdinaradze said.

According to the planned amendments to the recent Law on Civil Service, the staff of Presidential Administration shall be transformed from civil servants into administrative personnel.
