National Movement not to change the venue of rally in Telavi

The National Movement is not going to change the venue of a rally in Telavi, - Giorgi Botkoveli, Head of the Telavi regional organization, told InterPressNews.

"When filing a request with the Telavi City Hall, we were informed that nothing was planned at that place. This was also confirmed by the City Hall's answer that we received yesterday.

The place offered by them is entirely unacceptable, because it is a narrow street and is very far from the territory where we wanted to hold a rally.

Their letter says that the place requested by us should be used for the security, which is absolutely incomprehensible.

We want to tell the Mayor and government that we are going to hold a peaceful rally exactly where we requested it”, Botkoveli said.

The United Opposition was refused to hold a rally in the city of Telavi today. According to Telavi Mayor Shota Nareklishvili, instead of the venue requested by the opposition, the Telavi City Hall offered the opposition to hold a rally at another place.
