The First Republican square will be closed from 11:00am on Saturday, - Tbilisi City Hall has told InterPressNews.

"New Year preparations are underway in the capital. Due to the ongoing works, the First Republic Square will be closed at 11:00 am December 15,” Tbilisi City Hall said in a statement.

According to their information, New Year's Village will be arranged on the territory of the square.

“Tbilisi City Hall would like to apologize for discomfort,” the statement reads.
