Police closes roads leading to square where United Opposition plans to hold rally

The roads leading to a square where the United Opposition plans to hold a rally is closed by police.

Only guests or persons with accreditation are allowed to enter the square.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has recently released a statement regarding the rallies planned in Telavi, Zugdidi and Batumi.

According to the Ministry, they will protect freedom of expression, safety and order of citizens gathered in the cities of Georgia. The statement also says that the traffic will be temporarily restricted in the cities of the Kakheti region.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs called on the organizers of the rallies to observe the law and obey the legal requirements of the police. “Any offense during the events planned today will be immediately responded and prevented by police within the law, "- reads the statement.
