Founded by Silknet back in 2018, Wounded Warrior Support Foundation supports Georgia’s wounded warriors and their families. The fund is committed to running the most transparant activities, therefore all the activities and results ar periodically communicated in different media channels. Sinse January till today WWSF has supported 22 wounded warriors so far. The amount spent for their needs is equal to 105 006.54 GEL.

The foundation raises donations every year. This year 246 000 GEL was contributed by various companies, organizations and individuals. As a founder, Silknet makes annual 300 000 GEL donation to the fund.

As of March 2024 WWSF supported 3 veterans and 19 military servicemen, as well as their spouses and underaged children. The detailed list of finansings looks as below:

• 8 cases of supporting underaged children (medical treatment, education) - 14 599.86 GEL
• 1 case of provision with medications - 956.24 GEL
• 6 cases of finansing medical treatments of spouses - 8 742.39 GEL
• 3 wounded warriors received medical treatments abroad - 64 847.05 GEL
• 3 wounded warriors received the needed medical facilities - 10 721 GEL
• 2 cases of finansing learning cources - 3 040 GEL
• 1 rehabilitatio course - 2 100 GEL

From the very scratch WWSF is open to gaining friends and partners, such as international organizations and funds. One of the important cooperation examples is partnership with the world famous international charitable foundation Invictus Games Foundation (IGF). Becoming a grantee of IGF, WWSF purchased 10 seated basketball wheelchairs for Georgia’s wounded warrior team. It is also impornant to mention, that diplomatic missions keep supporting the fund. Years ego SNGP, Substantial NATO-Georgia Package team leader and the entire team organized several sport activities at diffreent times. Also French Embassy, initiated the charity action to commemorate veterans day under the support of the French Ambassador and Military Attache. Tbilisi Defence Attahe Association organized a harity run last year at Lisi Lake, which was dedicated to WWSF. Amounts raised out of these activities are donated to the fund and are spent for supporting wounded warriors, as described above. What’s important, such supporting initiatives help encreasing the awareness of the fund.

One more friend has joined WWSF this year. Media holding Palitra Media offered its media services free of charge in order to promote to popularization of the fund. One of the supporting communication initiatives was conducted last month by Palitra Media’s sister company – publishing house Palita L. The latter runs periodic charity ations in book stores of Biblus, where a specialy dedicated corner offers books published at Palitra L. There are four of such actions arranged every year and each of them serve for a speial charity couse. „Pay as much as you wish“ – is the message of these charity actions. The amounts raised during the action go to the preliminarily seleted beneficiaries. In February Palitra L and Palitra Media kicked off one of such charity actions „Pay as much as you wish“ with the main message: „Let’s unite for our heroes“ and supprted Wounded Warrior Support Foundation. 3 000 GEL was raised out of this action. This amount, like every donated Lari to the fund, will be spent for supporting wounded warriors and their family members.

„Let’s unite for our heroes“ –anyone can volunteer and join activities of WWSF in order to support Georgia’s wounded veterans and military servicemen together with the fund.
