Appointment of second round of elections in Tianeti is imminent result of arithmetic - Zakaria Kutsnashvili
12:24 01-11-2017
Appointment of second round of elections in Tianeti is imminent result of arithmetic - Zakaria Kutsnashvili The second round of elections should be appointed in Tianeti persuant to Article 169 of the Election Code and is imminent result of arithmetic, - Tianeti majoritarian MP Zakaria Kutsnashvili told InterPressNews.

According to Kutsnashvili, the protocols show that the number of voters in Tianeti is 6 379, 220 ballot papers are void and thus, 50% is 3 080 votes. As Kutsnashvili explains, none of the candidates have received this amount of votes - Tamaz Mechiauri has 3 077 votes and Lela Kitesashvili has 3 076 votes.

"These numbers are officially confirmed by the CEC protocols. It was revealed that none of the mayoral candidates have crossed the 50% electoral barrier, as 3 080 votes were needed to overcome the barrier. None of the candidates has received 3 080 votes. This is arithmetic, which is a precise science”, said the MP.

The district election commissions will sum up the results of the October 21 election today.
