Lado Machavariani: On April 29, we will not be present with any activities on Rustaveli Avenue or the surrounding area, we understand that this will cause provocation

On April 29, we will not be present with any activities on Rustaveli Avenue or the surrounding area, we understand that this will cause provocation. We will not oppose our fellow citizens, - Lado Machavariani, one of the organizers of the ongoing protests against the draft law "On the transparency of foreign influence", told journalists.

As he noted, youth groups and student movements will continue to protest peacefully and firmly.

"I want to make a statement on behalf of youth groups, student movements and people who are involved against the Russian law. In recent days we have been asked what we are going to do in response to the counter rally.

Our answer is: unity and peace. With our movement, we go against immobility. We are trying to achieve a country where we will be united, in peace, without Russian law. On April 29, we will not be present with any activity on Rustaveli Avenue or the surrounding area, we understand that this will cause provocation. We will not confront fellow citizens, we will not give anyone a chance to provoke. The government, which constantly talks about peace, chooses the path of confrontation and provocation with the April 29 counter rally. Our answer is different, we choose unity and real peace. We continue our peaceful but firm protest", Lado Machavariani said.
