I feel a déjà vu about the situation that turned out after the Parliamentary Elections 2020. Now, we acknowledge what the American standard is – the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili stated noting that our society witnessed quite the contrary American standard in Georgia after the elections in 2020 when the appellations has been made on the fraud elections without a single piece of evidence. “The American standard is that, first of all, the burden of assertion lies on the party urging about the gaps detected upon the elections, and besides, when the absence of the gaps are confirmed, the responsibility shall be assumed by the party providing the hereof assertions; and we clearly see the gravity of this responsibility in the USA. Unfortunately, we encounter quite the contrary in Georgia when the appellations have been made on the fraud elections etc. as within the country, so by the international “umbrellas” of our radical opposition, trumpeting that allegedly the elections were a fraud. However, everything became crystal clear. All the claims have been one by one annulled and now we see that not a single person has assumed responsibility for it. On the contrary, ISFED was a key party in this false campaign with an outlined goal to trigger hostility in our society, create the distrust milieu and undermine the certitude in the electoral administration – exactly the words spoken in America. These were the goals of the opposition in Georgia and some NGOs standing by their side. Then, no one assumed responsibility, on the contrary, ISFED has not even extended due apologies and even keeps receiving millions of dollars from the donors; nor have the donors expressed any critical position despite that I had personal conversations with them about the inadmissibility of ignoring this problem while the organization is funded by them and operates blowing undermining attacks to the democratic processes, and later, it was confirmed that it was a false campaign; that afterward, instead of being critical towards this organization, they keep “covering” it, providing even more funds to ISFED to observe on the Municipal Elections. It leads to the fact that overall, NGOs themselves get through unhealthy processes and we envision the ultimate outcomes. Other NGOs have been keeping silent as well, having a clue that the parallel vote tabulation was totally misleading but still, none of them dropped a word – all remained silent and by their silence, they betrayed our country for disorders and turbulences. And shall not the Georgian Dream keep persevering in denunciation – however, the flood of criticism followed our first denunciations by the donors to prevent the storming against NGOs as it was the estimations then – we never gave up and backed our truth. And without our insistent attempts, NGOs and some donors intended to sacrifice Georgia to non-democratic processes”, - the Speaker stated
