Car sharing project to be launched in Tbilisi

Car sharing project is starting for the first time in Tbilisi,- Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said on January 15.

According to him, 300 electric vehicles will be involved in the project during the first phase and the cars will serve customers from various locations.

The vehicles will available for the users after they join a special program and download the relevant application.

“Everyone can rent a car and use it during the whole day or for the desired time period. All cars will be electric. 300 vehicles will be brought and placed on different locations in Tbilisi. Each Tbilisian who is registered in the program and downloads the application will have the opportunity to use the car. Price will be available to everyone. There will be the following three models of cars involved in the project in Tbilisi during the first phase: NISSAN LEAF, RENO, SMART. Over time, their number will increase in the city and the cars will be placed in every districts of Tbilisi, "Kaladze said.

“A special application shows where the car is located, and you can use the same application to book the car, open its doors, drive the car without the keys. After driving the car you can leave it in any place in Tbilisi, " said the company representative.

Charging facilities for electric vehicles will be placed in all of locations of the vehicles.
