Attempted murder investigation launched after man is shot in central Tbilisi

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia launched an investigation into an attempted murder and illegal purchase and storage of firearms after a man was shot on Melikishvili Street in Tbilisi.

InterPressNews was reported by the Internal Affairs Ministry that the investigation is in progress under Article 19-108 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving an attempted murder and illegal purchase and storage of firearms.

Reportedly, a man was shot by unidentified persons while he was driving a car.

The man continued driving and crashed into a vehicle parked nearby the Philharmonic Concert Hall. The driver left his car and ran away.
