Lawyers of Tornike Tatishvili and Vazel Mamadian, former employees of KazTransGas Tbilisi who were arrested in connection with the explosion that occurred in the Didi Dighomi district of Tbilisi, will appeal against today’s judgment of the court.

According to the lawyer of the defendants, the judgment is not substantiated.

Pre-trial detention has been ordered for former employees of KazTransGas Tbilisi -Tornike Tatishvili and Vazel Mamadian today.

The prosecution had been demanding the use of the measure of pre-trial detention against the defendants, while the defense had been demanding release of the detainees on bail.

Tatishvili and Mamadani were officially charged on January 19. The pre-trial session will be held on March 14.

Four people were killed as a result of an explosion caused by gas leakage in a block of flats on January 16.
