Georgian National Communications Commission asks “Geocell” and “MagtiCom” mobile phone operators to suspend making changes in tariffs until the Commission studies the issue thoroughly.

"First of all, we would like to note that there are no preconditions and grounds for increasing the tariff for telecommunication services to subscribers. The National Communications Commission, started to study the issue immediately, based on the statements made by “MagtiCom” and “Silknet” companies. The Commission will learn the appropriateness ofthe simultaneous change of prices by two powerful operators.

The National Communications Commission calls on the both operators to suspend making changes in the tariffs until the issue is fully studied.

In addition, we emphasize that the Commission has all the legal tools to make a stern response to the unjust decisions made by the companies, "the GNCC statement reads.
