According to acting US Ambassador to Georgia Ross Wilson, the US government is working to identify a candidate to become a permanent ambassador here, but he does not know what the timeline is.

Ross Wilson made the comments for journalists at the event held in connection with the arrival of American ship in the Batumi port.

According to him, the US attaches great importance to its representation in Georgia and this is why he was asked to arrive in Georgia as an acting ambassador.
