The grandmother of a 4-year-old child, who died in Sanzona district of Tbilisi yesterday, claims that her grandchild, was suffering from fever and cough.

“There was not any violence yesterday. The child hated the bath and often cried due to it, while our neighbors though that her mother beat the daughter,” the grandmother of the deceased child said.

According to the neighbors, the child was seriously injured after being beaten by the parents, due to which, she was hospitalized.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said that the mother of the deceased child was detained due to violation of the restraining order issued against her.
