Pre-trial detention has been ordered for Omar Khukhua, employee of the Special Task Department, accused of robbing the Liberty Bank branch in Zugdidi, and Gela Jikia, detained together with him.

Motion on the application of pre-trial detention was filed by prosecutor Maia Jabua.

The detainees have pleaded guilty.

Both detainees are accused of means robbery, illegal possession of firearms and illegal deprivation of liberty. They will face imprisonment from 11 to 15 years if convicted.
