Davit Bakrade refuses to use Special State Protection Service

Davit Bakrade, leader of "European Georgia" party, refuses to use the Special State Protection Service. As the "European Georgia" party informs, Davit Bakrade has sent an official letter to Anzor Chubinidze, Head of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia.

Bakradze writes that since the vehicle belonging to opposition lawmaker Givi Targamadze was exploded [in Tbilisi in 2016], under the recommendation of the American side, he, as the leader of the parliamentary minority, has been provided with the Special State Protection Service within the ongoing investigation of the case.

“The investigation has been finished and as far as the parliamentary minority has been dissolved, I do not have the status of the minority leader. Therefore, I made a decision to abolish my state protection, " Davit Bakradze's official letter reads.
