The people's assembly, which lasted almost three hours in the Pankisi Gorge, has been completed. According to the population, they agreed that dialogue on the construction of hydro power plant is categorically unacceptable.

They are also going to send an appeal to the government. The locals did not elaborate on the content of the appeal, but noted that they would gather again in the nearest future.

"We discussed a lot of issues. We have decided that dialogue on the construction of hydro power plant is categorically unacceptable. We will hold a meeting about this issue in the nearest days. Our main goal is to settle the situation in the valley," Tamaz Baghakashvili said.
