Former Minister of Internal Affairs Vano Merabishvili will be questioned regarding his removal from prison. The Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia has released relevant information.

On March 21, 2019, Merabishvili’s lawyer filed a petition with the General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia and demanded the questioning of Ivane Merabishvili in order to make ti clear whether or not he can identify persons.

Ivane Merabishvili was interrogated as a witness by the employees of the Ministry of Corrections on January 3, 2014 and on June 24, 2016. In both cases, Ivane Merabishvili stated that he could not visually describe the persons involved in his removal from the penitentiary establishment. So, no
