The miners of Mining Enrichment Plant in Chiatura have gone on strike, the Primary Trade Union Organization of Chiatura has reported. The members of the organization have met with the miners, who are asking for a salary increase and improvement of their working conditions.

“The miners have met with Director General of the Mining Enrichment Plant Akaki Gurjidze. They failed to reach the agreement and the miners decided to continue strike. Our organization will try to protect the interests of the miners in any processes,” the Trade Union Organization said.
