NBG : Christine Lagarde’s visit to Georgia proves that IMF  treats countries with systemic economies and small countries equally

On behalf of the Government of Georgia I would like to thank her for visiting our country, said Koba Gvenetadze, President of the National Bank of Georgia, who is holding a meeting with students together with Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

According to Koba Gvenetadze, the visit of Christine Lagarde is yet another proof that the IMF treats countries with systemic economies and small countries equally.

“This is the first visit of Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde to Georgia. On behalf of the Government of Georgia I would like to thank her for planning the visit to our country. This is yet another confirmation that the IMF treats countries with systemic economies and small countries equally, like Georgia, equally,” Koba Gvenetadze said.

Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, has arrived in Georgia on a working visit on May 19-21.
