Sandra Roelofs: We are starting the protest wave from Zugdidi. We will show Ivanishvili the power of people

After yesterday's so-called elections, we decided to start the protest wave from Zugdidi. This will spread across the country and end at Ivanishvili's Palace in Tbilisi, - Sandra Roelofs, the mayoral candidate of the United Opposition, told reporters in Zugdidi.

She said May 19 by-elections were not real elections, but “a special operation that was underway during months, especially in recent days."

Sandra Roelofs said the major demand of the protest will be Bidzina Ivanishvili’s expel from the power.

“We demand Ivanishvili to leave the country. His actions, his so-called governance has already passed all the boundaries. We should not allow Ivanishvili to hold elections, because he can not hold the elections. Therefore, we all together must rally across the country. I will not miss any street, any district, village or town. We must hand-in-hand arrive in Tbilisi and expel Ivanishvili from this country. We will show him the power of people. We must continue development of this country without Ivanishvili. I am not alone in this struggle. There are a lot of political parties, organizations and friends who want to join us. We have a common enemy of Georgia and he is Ivanishvili,” Sandra Roelofs said.
