Mikheil Saakashvili asks Vladimir Zelensky to give him back his Ukrainian citizenship

Mikheil Saakashvili urges Ukraine's new president Vladimir Zelensky to give him back his Ukrainian citizenship. Saakashvili's lawyer Ruslan Chernolutsky has already submitted the relevant letter to the presidential administration.

In the letter, the ex-president of Georgia states that he was illegally deprived of Ukrainian citizenship. According to him, leaving a person without citizenship is against the international law.

Mikheil Saakashvili was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship by former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in July of 2017.
