Patriarch : Many Georgian people are in prison today for robbery or other negative action

Many Georgian people are in prison today for robbery or other negative action, - Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II said during his speech at the Diaspora Forum.

The Patriarch has urged the Georgian authorities to make it easier for Georgian people to come to their homeland.

"The activity of the Georgian diaspora is very important. They do a lot for Georgia. We are glad that many scientists, many people serve Georgia and we hope that their work will be very important for Georgia, but I can not say that there are negative sides too. Many Georgian people are in prison today for robbery or other negative activity. We must do everything to eradicate these negative sides.

We should remember that the actions and activities of diaspora will affect the visa regime too much. The visa regime will be passed if our Georgians will behave well. I hope it will be so, "- said the Patriarch.
