Money transfers from Russia decreased by 6 % and by 20% - from Turkey y/y in May, according to the National Bank of Georgia.

In May of 2019, money transfers from Russia in May, 2019 amounted to USD 34.8 million, which is 6 % less compared to the same period of 2018. The money transfers from the Russian Federation accounted for 24% of all transfers.

As for Turkey, money transfers from it amounted to USD 7.76 million, which is 20 % less compared to the same period of the last year.

It should be noted that the decrease was reported only in these two countries. In contrast, money transfers increased by 112% from Poland, by 307% - from Kyrgyzstan, by 55% - from France and by 60% - from Armenia.
