Police have detained several people near Republican Square and on Rustaveli Avenue.

Several thousand opposition and civic activists protest on Rustaveli avenue, in front of the Parliament building, protesting the presence of the Russian Duma delegation in the Parliament building. Police used water cannons, tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the demonstrators.

Healthcare Ministry told InterPressNews that 17 civilians and 38 police officers have been injured.
