Speaker confirms PM Bakhtadze will not deliver his annual report to Parliament today

Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze will not deliver his annual report to the Parliament today, Chairman of Parliament Archil Talakvadze said at the Bureau Sitting today.

According to him, the current environment does not give the possibility to “discuss the report thoroughly.”

“It is clear for everyone that it would be impossible to conduct a proper discussion of the government’s program in the parliament in the current situation. Our desire is to give both the majority and the opposition the opportunity to take full-scale participation in the discussion of this report," said Archil Talakvadze.

According to him, consultations on defining the date are underway and Mamuka Bakhtadze will likely appear before the lawmakers within the extraordinary session of the legislative body.
