Russian State Duma to consider imposition of sanctions on Georgia today

The Russian State Duma will consider the issue of suspending import of wine and mineral water from Georgia, as well as remittances ban today.

The State Duma deputies asked the Russian government to impose sanctions on Georgia. The deputies condemn “the anti-Russian provocations” in Georgia and urge the government to consider imposition of economic sanctions.

According to the deputies, anti-Russian provocations in Georgia prove the strengthening of radical forces in this country and lead to further deterioration of Russian-Georgian relations.
