Police have detained a woman for stabbing a 3 years old child in the street. The detainee faces from 7 to 10 years of imprisonment.

The officers of Vake-Saburtalo Division of Tbilisi Police Department have detained T.S (DoB 1968) for intentional infliction of grave injury to the health of a minor.

An investigation has established that the detainee inflicted injury to the health of a minor, DoB 2015, on August 27 on Pekini Avenue, Tbilisi and left the scene of the incident.

Emergency brigade took the minor to the clinic for a stationary treatment.

The investigation is in progress under Provision V, Article 11 7 of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said.

The incident occurred on Pekini Avenue, Tbilisi on Tuesday evening. A minor, walking with her parents, was stabbed by a passer-by.
