Ukraine and Georgia stood behind the attempts to thwart the speech of the head of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), - delegation member Alexander Bashkin told RIA Novosti.
"There is no doubt that it was organized by the delegations of Ukraine and Georgia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, who are not interested in Russia's work in the Assembly," he said.
The comment comes after protest was expressed in the PACE session hall because of the return of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. As soon as Russian deputy Peter Tolstoy started his speech, Ukrainian, Polish and Crimean Tatar activists displayed flags of Ukraine and Georgia and expressed dissatisfaction over the presence of the Russian delegation in the Assembly.
