Mariam Jashi to chair new faction in Parliament

A new faction “Independent Lawmakers” is to be launched in the Parliament of Georgia. The new faction will be chaired by Mariam Jashi, MP who quit the parliamentary majority several days ago.

As independent MP Levan Koberidze told reporters, the members of the new faction will be : Mariam Jashi, Levan Gogichaishvili, Gedevan Popkhadze, Koba Narchemashvili, Zviad Kvachantiradze and Levan Koberidze.

"We hope that creation of this faction will encourage other MPs to form a faction. Those who wish to cooperate with our faction, we are open to consult with them," Levan Koberidze said.
