Prosecutorial Council shortlists four candidates, including former Prosecutor General Irakli Shotadze

The Prosecutorial Council has selected four candidates for the Prosecutor General position, including former Prosecutor General Irakli Shotadze.

Three other candidates are- Sophio Shengelia, Valerian Vacharadze and Dariko Tordia.

Irakli Shotadze got 10 votes, Sophio Shengelia - 9 votes, Valerian Vacharadze - 8 votes and Dariko Tordia - 7 votes from twelve members of the Council.

The Prosecutorial Council completed individuals interview with the candidates yesterday, February 5. Tomorrow another vote will be held, after which, the candidate selected by the Prosecutorial Council will be submitted to the Parliament for approval.
