Georgia confirms third case of coronavirus

The third coronavirus case was confirmed in Georgia, Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director General of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health, told reporters today.

Amiran Gamkrelidze said the patient, Georgian citizen, who has been in Iran, had an elevated body temperature and was immediately taken to Tbilisi Infectious hospital from the border checkpoint yesterday evening.

Georgia confirmed the first case of coronavirus in the country on February 26. The second case in the country was confirmed on February 28. Amiran Gamkrelidze said all the three patients are in the satisfactory condition.
