According to one of the leaders of the United Opposition, Giorgi Vashadze, the decision to leave Besik Tamliani in custody does not change anything yet and the critical threshold has not yet been crossed.

As Vashadze told InterPressNews, the opposition is waiting for the agreement to be implemented.

“Nothing really changes with this decision. We are awaiting final decisions regarding political prisoners. The deadline, of course, is before the first hearing in the Parliament. We will wait until that time. I understand that we want everything to happen soon, but there is yet time. The critical threshold has not been crossed,” Giorgi Vashadze said.

According to Vashadze, one thing is clear and the statements of the senators also proved that the agreement between the government and the opposition provided for the release of political prisoners as well.

According to the opposition leaders, one of the preconditions for the agreement with the authorities on the electoral system was the release of several persons - Besik Tamliani, Gigi Ugulava, Irakli Okruashvili and Giorgi Rurua, which is strongly denied by the ruling party.
