Archpriest Theodore Gignadze : The rule of communion is a canonical and traditional issue that can be changed, but only by the supreme hierarchy of the church

The rule of communion is a canonical and traditional issue that can be changed, but only by the supreme hierarchy of the church, Archpriest Theodore Gignadze told InterPressNews.

“Generally, canonical and traditional issues can be changed. It has always been so inside the church. The only thing that cannot be changed is that God is the Holy Trinity, God the Son became man, he founded the church, which is the body of God and launched the sacraments of baptism and communion. This is something that cannot be changed, and the rest are canonical issues that can be changed, can be changed from time to time, but only the supreme hierarchy of the church has the right to change it,” said Archpriest Theodore Gignadze, adding that certain clergyman has no right to change such things.
