Minister of Economy: Businesses that show guarantees that they comply with safety rules, will be permitted to continue operation

The businesses, which gradually show guarantees that they comply with the rules set by the Ministry of Health, of course, will be permitted to continue operation, - said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

As the Minister said after the Coordination Council, the government administration has established an emergency headquarters and is working with various agencies within this headquarters.

“As for the control over the compliance with the rules and regulations set by the Ministry of Health, we are jointly carrying out control, of course, with the leadership of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Economy and several other agencies are involved in this.

I would like everyone to maximize the protection of their employees with personal protective equipment, as well as to comply with all other recommendations and instructions, including the mandatory thermo-screening. Of course, we strongly urge all entities to fulfil this obligation.

In addition, as for the businesses, activities of which are temporarily suspended today, I would like to say that everyone who will step by step guarantee that they will abide by the rules of the Ministry of Health, of course, will be allowed to work in the future. But first we need to make sure that it is absolutely safe. This is our priority,” Turnava said.
