Interior Ministry employees, up to 20 doctors test positive for coronavirus, Health Minister says

The aggressive testing of doctors, law enforcers and soldiers has shown that several employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are infected with coronavirus, up to 20 healthworkers have also tested positive for COVID -19, Ekaterine Tikaradze, Minister of Health, said at a briefing on Thursday.

“No case of the coronavirus has been confirmed in the armed forces. Several employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as well as up to 20 health workers have tested positive,” the Minister said.

Ekaterine Tikaradze underlined that most of the mentioned people were asymptomatic, but they are under the monitoring to avoid the risk of the spread of the virus from them.
