They have started making statements to make us put up with the idea that there will be no pre-election campaign, but the Georgian Dream has a serious election campaign now, especially by using our medical staff and famous public figures, - Nino Burjanadze, leader of United Georgia, said on PalitraNews TV.
She said the ruling team was using the pandemic situation for the pre-election campaign.
"I can clearly see that the government is trying to use the pandemic for the pre-election period as much as possible. They are not trying to fulfill all the promises made on March 8. They have started making statements to make us put up with the idea that there will be no pre-election campaign, that everything will be limited as much as possible. However, the Georgian Dream is now conducting a serious election campaign, especially by using our medical staff and famous public figures, who are making political statements. By using these people and by hiding behind these people, they will try to conduct the election campaign, but they will not succeed,” Burjanadze said.
He also assessed the government's anti-crisis plan, saying that it was not a big benefit for the population. At the same time, according to Burjanadze, the government has not yet presented an anti-crisis plan related to agriculture, which will seriously affect this field.
