Adam Kinzinger : The Parliamentary Speaker, Government and Opposition, who have been looking for the way out in these hard times, deserve a special praise

The Parliamentary Speaker, Government and Opposition, who have been looking for the way out in these hard times, deserve special praise. Apparently, not everyone will like it but that’s what democracy is, U.S. Congressman Adam Kinzinger said at a briefing.

According to the congressman, Georgia faces a lot of challenges, but the country has made a big progress.

“Of course, there are challenges in Georgia. They are everywhere, be it politics or COVID-19. Although similarly to Georgia, the US Presidential elections are coming soon, I think that Georgia has made a big progress,” Adam Kinzinger said.

According to the Republican Congressman, there are still several issues to solve but the upcoming election is the most significant.

“I hope to arrive in Georgia as an observer of the Parliamentary poll in October. It will depend on the air traffic and the schedule of the Congress. The Parliamentary Speaker, Government and Opposition, who have been looking for the way out in these hard times, deserve a special praise. Apparently, not everyone will like it but that’s what democracy is. The US is at Georgia’s side in the fight against COVID-19”, the Congressman noted.

He also emphasized that he expects Congress to discuss the global assistance and believes that Washington is to keep up and even double its global involvement regarding the issue and intensify pressure on China, which is responsible for this pandemic.

“The economy is going to be delivered a powerful blow both in the US and Georgia. So, it’s time to put aside our differences, work together on behalf of our peoples. In connection with the Anaklia Port project, I’d like to say that I talked to the Georgian Government and they say they are interested in the US investment in it and I hope, the project will be implemented as soon as possible. I’d like to congratulate Ms. Kelly Dagnan, our ambassador in Georgia for her good job here”, Congressman Adam Kinzinger said.
