I think that one of the sentences in the document is a result of a well-organized, aggressive lobbyism, - Gia Volski, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, said when assessing the document signed by 13 congressmen, where Bidzina Ivanishvili is mentioned as Putin's close ally.

According to Volsky, one phrase in the document contradicts the rest of the text.

"The Georgian Dream government has one special characteristic. It is not only pro-Western, but it also the highest level of cooperation, including with the United States. Interestingly, one phrase in the document is in complete contradiction with the rest of the text and conclusions highlighting the high level of this cooperation," Volski said.

According to the recently published US Security Strategy entitled “Strengthening America & Countering Global Threats”, which was signed by 13 Congressmen, “Bidzina Ivanishvili, the richest man in Georgia, is a close ally of Putin and involved in destabilizing Georgia on Russia’s behalf.”
