Ursula von der Leyen: Nearly 1.5 billion in highly favorable loans will be made available for Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova

Nearly 1.5 billion in highly favorable loans will be made available for Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova to cover the immediate and urgent financing gaps and strengthen the macroeconomic stability, - stated the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at the press conference held after the Eastern Partnership leaders' video conference.

According to von der Layen, European Union has allocated nearly 2.4 billion euros for the region, from which 80 million was mobilized for immediate health needs.

"The European Union has reacted immediately. It's a total of over 2.4 billion that has been made available to the countries in the region, of this 900 million will support the social-economic recovery of the region. 80 million has been mobilized to address the most immediate health needs of our partners. Nearly 1.5 billion in highly favorable loans will be made available for Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova to cover the immediate and urgent financing gaps and strengthen the macroeconomic stability", - stated the European Commission President.
