Ivanishvili's team and the Foreign Affairs Ministry are serving a bad cause in this current situation. The MFA made a shameless statement and tried to use the situation brought about after German Ambassador's mistake as part of their election campaign, - stated one of the leaders of European Georgia, MP Giga Bokeria.

Giga Bokeria also noted that the critics made by European Georgia towards the German Ambassador were very correct.

"There was a disagreement on a concrete issue and we think that he made a mistake. The Ambassador shouldn't be a subject of discussion. This isn't good diplomacy and we hope it won't happen in the future. Georgian Dream used to call bribed and opposition affiliated to those international partners of Georgia who made legitimate critical remarks. Now they're talking about us when we legitimately criticized the Ambassador for his mistake. It was a mistake to engage with a discussion about Sopo Kiladze. It was also a mistake to make such remarks after the negotiations. Everybody makes mistakes. The government and the MFA haven't made any statements about Khangoshvili's case and now they are making one about this, claiming that the opposition is leading an anti-Western campaign. They had us in mind. With regards to graver statements about the German Ambassador, European Georgia doesn't agree with any of them but it would be better for all if the diplomats don't make mistakes", - stated Bokeria.
