President: Unanimity and solidarity of the EU is a signal of hope for us

The President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili has sent a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, calling the unanimous agreement a huge post-coronavirus recovery fund a historic decision, - the Administration of the President of Georgia reports.

According to the President of Georgia, the agreement reached by the European leaders is a significant decision that demonstrates unity and gives a strong example of solidarity.

“Despite the Covid pandemic and economic challenges, the EU has shown once again, when confronted to a major crisis, it can gather its strength to overcome it and grow stronger. Unanimity and solidarity that reinforces the EU is a signal of hope for us, Associated member states, Georgia in particular, that see our future in the perspective of integration”, reads the letter sent by the President.
