The information about the incidents that are happening across Georgia during the pre-election period is very disappointing, - stated the US Ambassador to Georgia, Kelly Degnan.

"The information about the incidents that are happening across Georgia during the pre-election period is very disappointing. I am grateful to the civil society organizations which are active for that such facts are not ignored", - the Ambassador said.

Degnan called on the leaders of the political parties tell their voters that violence is unacceptable.

"I want to call on the leaders of all political parties to send strong messages to their supporters that violence is not acceptable in any election. This is not the way to hold democratic elections. The facts of intimidation are unacceptable. Such incidents tarnish Georgia's reputation", - the Ambassador said.
