The Meama Building Was Named the Best Workspace Worldwide

The praiseworthy and already well-known building located on Kakheti Highway , which is the headquarters of the Georgian coffee company Meama, has already won three nominations in another important international competition.

According to the company, the Architizer A + Awards is the largest competition worldwide in terms of the world architecture, which reveals the best and most distinguished architectural projects every year. Through this competition, millions of people from all over the world get informed of the architecture and design of new, interesting buildings and personally participate in identifying the winners of the competition.

The competition jury first identifies five finalists in different categories and then the shortlisted projects are selected online by those who wish to vote.

The building of Meama Georgian Coffee Company headquarters, which architecture and design belong to Giorgi Khmaladze, was shortlisted in three nominations by the decision of the jury. These nominations were: interior design, low-rise workspace and architecture, and concrete. The Georgian project was in the lead in all three categories from the very beginning and after the voting, on August 4, it was declared the winner.

The competitors of the Meama building were the workspaces of such well-known companies as: Jaguar, TikTok, Warner Music Group, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and others.

“From today, the Meama building, as the winner project of the world-class competition, will be posted on the Architizer A + Awards website. It will also be featured in Architizer.com Magazine and the A + Awards annual editions for best architecture worldwide. The architect will also be awarded a special prize. The Meama building was built by the Georgian construction company “Unix Development”. The success of Georgian architects and Georgian projects in such international competitions is very important and it contributes to popularization of our country worldwide,- they stated in the Company.
