All my life I have been serving the Church of Georgia, I am grateful to God for this mission, - the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II said at the award ceremony at the Patriarchate.

As the Patriarch noted, the main goal of his activity is the unity of the Georgian nation.

"The main goal of my work, my spiritual work, is the unity of the Georgian nation, our state. Thank you all for awarding this great title to me," the patriarch said.

The award ceremony was held at the Patriarchate today, where the Theological Academy awarded honoris causa honorary diploma to the Patriarch.
