According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the executive secretary of the Georgian Dream, if the elections had been held a month and a half ago, the ruling team would have won 60% of the vote, but the dynamics of the elections have been affected by the pandemic.
"There is a social situation in all countries, including in Georgia, especially against the background of the pandemic. Naturally, it was one of the factors that influenced the dynamics of the elections. In fact, if the elections had been held somewhere a month and a half ago, the 60% result would have been absolutely real", - Kobakhidze said.
According to the preliminary data published by the Central Election Commission, the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia has 48.36% of the votes, while the United National Movement - United Opposition has 26.35%.
