Explosion occurs in a residential house on Besiki Street

Explosion took place on the second floor of a residential house on Besiki Street in Tbilisi. As InterPressNews was informed by the Emergency Management Service, according to current information, the explosion was caused by natural gas.

"Public Safety Management Center 112 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has received information that an explosion took place on the second floor of a residential house on Besiki Street in Tbilisi. Employees of the Emergency Management Service arrived at the address as soon as possible. According to current information, the explosion was caused by natural gas, as a result of which the wall of the front facade of the house collapsed. No traces of fire were observed on the spot. The building is currently being inspected. No one was injured in the incident. 3 fire-rescue groups and all relevant services are mobilized at the scene on Besiki Street", - reads the statement.
