Georgia reports 3697 new cases of coronavirus, out of which 1256 were registered in Tbilisi, 664 in Adjara and 538 in Imereti

3,697 new cases of infection have been identified within 24 hours, - said Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of Operations at the Interagency Coordination Council.

"As of today, 3,697 new cases of infection have been identified within 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 detected in the country since the first infection to date amounts to 93,092. In the last 24 hours, 2,409 people recovered, and the total number of recoveries increased to 73,877.

Unfortunately, we also have deaths in the last 24 hours. 38 people died, including 16 in Tbilisi, 8 in Adjara, 8 in Imereti, 1 in Shida Kartli, 3 in Kvemo Kartli and 2 in Kakheti. We have a total of 853 deaths since February 26, 2020.

Out of 3,697 cases detected today, 1,256 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara - 664, Imereti - 538, Kvemo Kartli - 243, Shida Kartli - 175, Guria - 127, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 304, Kakheti - 238, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 91, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 55, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 6", - said Sichinava.
