Willy Sagnol to become head coach of Georgian national football squad

Georgian football squad will be coached by Willy Sagnol, according to the website of the Georgian Football Federation.

Willy Sagnol will make his debut in the Georgian national team on March 25, 2021.

Willy Sagnol, 43, was approved as the head coach of the national team by the Executive Committee of the Georgian Football Federation on February 15.

The new head coach of the Georgian national team, as part of the French national team, was the world vice-champion (2006) and the two-time winner of the Confederations Cup (2001, 2003). When playing in Bayern Munich, he won the UEFA Champions League (2001) and the German champion title five times (2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008). The French specialist held the position of Technical Director of the French national team in 2011-2013. In 2013-2014, he was the head coach of the French U-21 team.
